About the Emergency Medical Services
When homeowners choose a more rural setting to buy or build their home, they often sacrifice access to expedited emergency health care. In Las Campanas, owners have access to trained emergency responders any time of the day or night with state of the art equipment. With this service you or a friend or family member who might be experiencing a medical emergency will have trained professionals in attendance in minutes.
Las Campanas has EMT-P (paramedics) and EMT-I (intermediate EMT) operating a fully equipped Honda CRV with a monitor/defibrillator, airway equipment and fully stocked emergency medical response supply kit. The service is on duty for the entire Las Campanas area 24 hours every day. They are fully capable of treating a wide range of conditions from general medical emergencies to more specific heart conditions, trauma, and accidents.
The team responds to calls at owners homes, The Club and Spa at Las Campanas, the Equestrian Center, as well as, auto accidents in the immediate area. The Emergency Response Team acts as a first responder arriving at the home or facility within minutes and working with Santa Fe County to transport a person to an area hospital if needed.
The program is directed by Dr. Froman.
